The Research Manager, Human Interaction and Experience is part of a cohesive, interdisciplinary team supporting human participant research at Sheridan.
The incumbent ensures the research projects within the human participant portfolio (which currently includes the Centre for Elder Research (CER), the Screen Industries Research and Training Centre (SIRT) and additional faculty-led projects, primarily from arts, humanities, social sciences, health, and community studies) are executed efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with all Sheridan and funder policies. The incumbent will also support the Director, Research and Innovation in the development of new projects and funding opportunities and be responsible for the coordinated oversight and management of the research projects/activities (funded and curriculum-based) across the Human Interaction and Experience research area of Generator. The incumbent may occasionally contribute ct as a collaborator on certain research projects within their domain of expertise.
The incumbent will work closely with Generator's Communications and Partnerships team to build and maintain relationships with industry and community partners, and to ensure the results of research in these areas are disseminated and shared broadly to enhance Generator's reputation and to further research collaboration. They will also actively engage Sheridan faculty, staff and students to create interest, engagement and opportunities for applied research in areas related to human interaction, engagement and experience, broadly.
