  • Carry out a range of lab assays, including but not limited to PBMC isolation, cell culture, ELISA, ELISPOT and immunofluorescent staining
  • Calculate and check assays, and interpret and report data for clinical or non-clinical CCfV research studies
  • Receive and process specimens according to study protocols; collect specimens from hospital labs as scheduled
  • Maintain specimen logs and databases
  • Prepare specimens and documentation for shipping and ship specimens as per guidelines
  • Operate and maintain lab equipment according to protocols
  • Monitor stock/supplies and reagents for ordering and disposal purposes
  • General administrative lab support as required
Hours of WorkMonday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PMYour Qualifications
  • Relevant Bachelor\'s Degree or Diploma education (Microbiology, Biology, Science) and 2 years minimum related experience is required; combination of post secondary education and experience may be considered
  • Strong problem-solving and leadership skills are required
  • Excellent time management skills and experience
  • Understands research ethics, in concept and practice
  • Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) as appropriate
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, MS Project) required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Advanced knowledge of complex lab machinery and equipment
  • Aptitude for mathematics and science
  • Ability to perform detailed work and maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Effective communication skills - both oral and written - and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and possess strong organizational skills
