About Polysights

Polysights builds tools that help people understand and trade prediction markets. We combine research, data, and proprietary metrics to surface what's actually actionable.

Why this role exists

Markets move fast and most "insights" are just noise. We want someone who can dig into our metrics, track what's happening across markets day to day, and turn raw data into clear takeaways we can ship in the product.

What you'll do

Research Polysights' proprietary metrics, find patterns and outliers, and write up actionable insights (and suggestions to improve the metrics). Actively follow prediction markets and publish short briefs on what moved, what likely caused it, and what to watch next. Use prediction market APIs and internal datasets to test ideas, validate hypotheses, and support new features. Turn research into product-ready outputs like alert ideas, tags, and templates that users can rely on. Support deeper research projects tied to upcoming scaling work like broader market coverage and automation workflows.

Who you are

Strong researcher and writer. You can explain a messy situation in clean, simple terms. Comfortable working with data. SQL or Python is a plus. Genuinely interested in prediction markets and motivated to follow them closely. Strong judgment and intellectual honesty. You pressure-test ideas with evidence and can explain your reasoning clearly. Comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment. You can manage multiple threads, prioritize well, and keep quality high under short timelines.

Nice to have

Experience working with APIs, dashboards, or data pipelines. Familiarity with Polymarket or similar markets. Familiarity with blockchain or web3. Background in finance, economics, statistics, computer science, or OSINT-style research.

Location and format

Hybrid preferred. A few days per week in our downtown Halifax office (flexible schedule). Remote is considered for exceptional talent, especially with strong writing samples or prior market research work.

Compensation

Paid internship. Details depend on hours and experience.

Growth opportunity

This internship is designed to be a real on-ramp. If it's a strong fit, this role can grow into a larger part-time or full-time position over time.
