is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving accessibility and inclusion for people living with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS). Through research, education, and advocacy, we collaborate with communities, institutions, and governments to remove barriers and promote healthier, safer environments.
As part of the next phase of the Empowering Community and Removal of Barriers (
ECRoB) project
, we are seeking a
Research & Training Lead
to guide the design of surveys, development of modules, and publication of findings. This is a key leadership role for an individual who combines strong research expertise with the ability to translate evidence into practical training and practice.
Key Responsibilities
?
Research Design & Analysis
o Lead the design, dissemination, and analysis of the national survey.
o Apply both
quantitative and qualitative research methods
.
o Prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication.
o Draft and submit
Research Ethics Board (REB)
applications.
?
Training & Knowledge Development
o Lead development of training modules across multiple disciplines (healthcare, legal, first responders, industry, etc.).
o Integrate survey findings, research evidence, and lived experience into training materials.
o Collaborate with outreach staff to ensure wide reach and sectoral relevance.
?
Knowledge Translation & Dissemination
o Contribute to the development of policy briefs, handbooks, and case studies.
o Support dissemination under
different project strategies
, ensuring project outputs are accessible, impactful, and sustainable.
Qualifications
? Master's or PhD in Public Health, Social Sciences, Environmental Health, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
? Demonstrated expertise in both
quantitative and qualitative research methods
.
? Experience designing and implementing national- or large-scale surveys.
? Strong record of preparing and submitting
REB applications
.
? Proven ability to draft, co-author, and publish
peer-reviewed manuscripts
.
? Experience in
training module development
for professional or community education.
? Excellent written and verbal communication in
English and French
.
? Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with outreach teams, community members, and professional stakeholders.
? Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to manage multiple research priorities.
Work Conditions
Remote position
- must have access to a stable internet connection and computer.
Full-time (Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST)
Compensation:
$28/hour
