Research & Development Technician (Electrical / Mechanical)

As an R & D (Electrical / Mechanical) Technician, you will assemble complex components per assembly drawings / bill of material. Perform functional testing on assemblies. Test assemblies per customer and/or division criteria. Operate test equipment in compliance with engineering standards. Set, calibrate and maintain assembly tools. Perform torquing of various components. Distribute quality notifications.


As an Electrical / Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for:



Assembling complex components per assembly drawings / bill of material Reading/interpreting assembly blueprints Performing functional testing on assemblies. Following written and verbal work instructions Troubleshooting Accurately using measuring instruments. Provide feedback about ease of assembly / fitment and ergonomics of new designs.

To be successful in this role you will:



Associates degree preferred with 1+ years' experience Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting skills Team player and capable of working well with minimal supervision while following safety procedures Comfortable with Electronics and Electric circuits, diagrams, instruments and electrical safety Must be able to stand during majority of shift, occasionally lift/carry up to 50pounds and occasionally push/pull up to 10 pounds of force Must be able to operate crane/hoist and pallet jack. Previous experience operating a forklift is an asset. Technologist, apprentices or ticketed tradespeople with solid interpersonal skills welcome
