Position Responsibilities:
  • Capable of supporting / developing all calibration associated with gasoline and diesel engine research, development and testing.
  • Proficiency in the operation of various powertrain calibration tools such as ATI vision, ETAS and other related tools.
  • Capable of operating Horiba emission analyzers.
  • Capable of analyzing, interpreting and writing internal technical reports as well as publishing refereed technical papers in conferences and journals.
  • Capable of executing Ford Corporate Engineering Test Procedures (CETP) and sustaining / improving the test automation system as well as developing new test methodology and CETP.
  • Capable of executing group research in the areas of direct injection and turbocharging and combustion.
  • Proficiency in the operations of various data acquisition systems for collecting data in the dynamometer test cell.
  • Ability to interface with PERDC Engineers, Technicians and Skilled Trades as well as Research/Product Engineers (Ford and its affiliates) to accomplish Engineering, Research and Development project goals.
  • Ability to execute major development project such as powertrain mapping to optimize noise vibration and harshness, performance and emission.
  • Capable of executing large projects including specifying, designing, procuring, field verifying, and final implementation as part of the project management in the areas of test facilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum B.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Chemistry or Electrical Engineering coupled with minimum of one year experience in Development.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • M.A.Sc. or Ph.D. is preferred.
