Research Assistants, Educational Administration
In the appointment of Research Assistant, your general duties and responsibilities will be:
The Research Assistant will support a mixed-methods study that examines the barriers internationally educated teachers face when seeking certification in Canada and explores anti-racist advocacy strategies to improve credentialing processes. The RA will work 10 hours per week (on campus or hybrid).
Responsibilities

  • Literature and policy review. Locate, summarize, and organize scholarly articles, policy documents, and grey literature related to teacher credentialing and anti-racist education.
  • Data collection and management. Assist with participant recruitment, schedule interviews, and maintain consent records. Conduct or co-facilitate interviews (as appropriate) and prepare accurate field notes. Conduct basic descriptive statistics.
  • Transcription and preliminary analysis. Transcribe and clean up audio recordings, perform initial coding with NVivo, or interpretive comments, and generate descriptive summaries for review.
You will report to Dr. Ayodeji Osiname.
Required Number of Hours:10 hours per week
Duration of Employment: October 9, 2025 - December 29, 2025
Qualifications (Skills and Abilities)
You must be registered in a graduate program.
