Research Assistant - Study on the Benefits of Escape Room Experiences

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Research Assistant to join our team for an exciting study on the benefits of escape room experiences. This research aims to explore the perceived benefits of participating in escape room activities and how the design of these experiences influences those outcomes.

The Research Assistant will be mentored by and will work with the Principal Investigator (PI) and team members to advance this research, including communication with escape room sites and survey collection and analysis, as well as involvement in interviews, transcription, focus group work, and data analysis.

Opportunities for conference presentation and manuscript preparation may arise. There may be other emerging duties related to this study.

The Research Assistant will report to Professor Michelle Prytula.

Required Number of Hours: 3 hours per week

Duration of Employment: September 1, 2023, to August 31, 2024

Qualifications (Skills and Abilities)

  • Strong interest in research related to escape room experiences and human behavior.
  • Enthusiasm for data collection and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the research team.
  • Knowledge of NVivo is not mandatory but considered an asset.
