RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. Position summary
This posting is for a research assistant who will work under the supervision of a pediatric neurologist. The research assistant will work on and manage the day to day operations of multiple projects.

General Duties

• Prepare submissions to the Research Ethics Board,
• Contribute to the preparation of grant applications,
• Data entry, management and analysis,
• Assist in drafting and formating manuscripts for submission to scientific journals,
• Completion of other study related tasks as assigned by the principal investigator.

Education / Experience

• MSc degree in health-related field, a specialization in epidemiology would be an asset,
• Ideal candidate has experience in research,
• Ability to work independently and within a team,
• Good communication and organizational skills,
• Ability to take initiative, set priorities, time-manage, and resolve problems,
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, EndNote),
• Excellent statistical software skills (e.g. SPSS, SAS, Stata or other),
• Strong scientific writing skills,
• Must be fluent in French and English (both written and spoken).

Additional information

Status: Temporary, Full-time (35 hours/week)
Pay Scale: $47,320.00 - $87,887.80, commensurate with qualifications and experience
Work Shift: 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday
Work Site: Centre for Outcomes Research, 5252 blvd de Maisonneuve W. Montreal, QC
