As a Research Assistant, you will work with the Corporate Research Team to provide research services and expertise to internal clients across The City. Primary duties include:

Provide project support, including performing research project intake, supporting the vendor procurement process and monitoring and reporting project status. Maintain the research library by searching for, and uploading, research and engagement documents and preparing summaries. Support the Corporate Research Team in programming small-scale surveys that also require analyzing and reporting findings. Support the development and maintenance of the Research Panel, made up of members of the public, who participate in research activities, attend events, etc., including developing processes. Assist with recruitment of respondents and participants for the Corporate Research Team and the Web Team projects.


Qualifications

A degree in Business, Marketing or Social Sciences and at least 1 year of research related experience. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and previous experience with spreadsheets for statistical summaries and analyses is required. A strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research. Experience using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) or similar statistical software programs would be an asset. Well-developed communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively individually and in groups and the ability to deal with confidential information.

Workstyle

This position may be eligible to work from home for at least part of the time as one of several flexible work options available to City employees. Such arrangements are based on the operational requirements of the position and employee suitability and are subject to change based on operational needs and corporate direction.
