Location
- This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person work at North Campus Edmonton.
This position is part of a research team within the Faculty of Nursing, which focuses on improving access to health care with populations with cancer or at risk of cancer experiencing social disparities. The Research Assistant will collaborate closely with the Principal Investigator and research team to support the daily operations of ongoing and newly funded research projects.

It offers five CASN-accredited undergraduate programs and multiple graduate programs, including a PhD in Nursing. With over 1,700 students and strong partnerships across Alberta, the faculty leads innovative, high-impact research to meet the health needs of diverse communities and address global health challenges.Collaborate with patient and community engagement activities related to PI's research
projects Support the patient-oriented strategy of the PI's research program
Assist with the organization of community events related to the PI's research projects
Assist with verbal and written communications, including knowledge dissemination
Assist with recruitment, screening, and enrollment of study participants and collaborate with data collection
Assist with project administration duties
Minimum of a high school diploma with previous or current enrollment in an undergraduate program in health or social sciences.
Certificate in Patient and Community Engagement Research (PaCER) is required
Previous research experience with racialized and other underserved communities, with
demonstrated qualitative and community-based research skills Experience conducting interviews and focus groups with members of under-served communities
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a team environment
Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite of Applications is required; familiarity with REDCap is an asset. Experience employing social media in research is an asset.
