Location
- This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person work at North Campus Edmonton.
The Research Assistant would coordinate and assist with conducting a number of systematic
literature reviews and meta-analyses. This work would involve being part of a research team of various health professionals including, at present, a Senior Research Associate and a Principal Investigator. The job requires specialist skills in literature searching, study quality assessments and information synthesis.

saving search results Developing criteria for inclusion of research studies in systematic reviews; using critical
thinking and independent judgement when applying criteria to select research studies Developing extraction forms to capture critical variables of research studies; extracting
and reconciling data with other team members Manuscript and report drafting; citation management and bibliography production
Searching for full-text publications, requesting interlibrary loans, and managing files in
shared drives Understanding and adhering to ethical guidelines, project protocols, and research
procedures Administrative tasks including arranging and attending meetings, taking meeting minutes, and following up with internal and external stakeholder
Other related duties, as required
Minimum
Bachelor's degree required
Fluency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Preferred
Research experience; experience with methods for scoping, systematic, and umbrella reviews is a plus
Experience in quality assessments of research publications such as the Downs & Black and the QUIPS
Experience reading and extracting data from forest plots
Experience using EndNote to manage citations and generate bibliographies
Experience using Covidence to import citations, create PRISMA diagrams and screen abstracts and full texts
High degree of computer literacy
Familiarity with topics in occupational health
