Research Assistants are normally students, in a University of Winnipeg undergraduate program, employed to assist with tasks related to research. Work is performed within defined guidelines and under supervision of a more senior researcher or faculty member.
Position Overview:
With the recent release of the Manitoba Critical Minerals Strategy, there is renewed interest in mining in the Province. This project is designed to create material to communicate information about the state of mining in Manitoba, including information about what is a critical mineral, the location of existing and future mine sites, etc. The bulk of the work involves data organization & communication, although there will be some components for data collection.
Duties:
The candidate will assist in organizing data related to critical minerals in Manitoba. In consultation with the supervisor, specific activities include:
