invites applications for a

Research Assistant

. This Full-time Fixed Term position is for approximately 6 months (based on length of grant funding), with the possibility of extension.


The Research Assistant will report to the Principal Investigator and will work on developing a lab-scale setup for core-shell calcium based antimicrobial particle.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

(job functions include but are not limited to):

Assist in the development of standard operation protocol of the experimental setups in the lab. Explore ways to increase the productivity of the bench-scale setup in our lab. Lab equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Assists the group in planning, design, procurement, installation, operation, modification and repair of all research units and analysis equipment.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Sc is required, MSc or PhD is preferred in Chemical Engineering or related fields. 1 - 3 years related technical experience. Relevant laboratory research work experience. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization as well as other researchers. Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment. Experience in the scientific method of planning, developing, reviewing and reporting experiments.
