The (CITF) Secretariat and the School of Population and Global Health (SPGH) are hiring a Research Assistant to support SARS-CoV-2 sero-surveillance research initiatives. The Research Assistant will initially contribute to project development underway through the CITF linked to Hema-Net and they will transition to work arising out of the SPGH as of April 2024. We are looking for an individual with a public health background and demonstrated health sciences research experience, ideally with an emphasis on serological testing and data monitoring. We value creativity, problem-solving, organization, and collaboration.

Position Summary:

Conduct literature reviews, liaise with partners, and recommend practices for serosurveillance projects.

Support scientific planning meetings. Prepare minutes and document next steps for follow ups.

Contribute to the preparation of research protocols, grant applications and manuscripts for publication.

Develop informative and visually appealing graphics and presentations for scientific meetings, seminars, workshops for various public and academic audiences.

Qualifications:

Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in public health or a related area of study.

Experience analysing clinical or epidemiologic data required, with a minimum of 2 years of related work experience, ideally in clinical research settings.

Experience in statistical analysis and applied statistical methods (e.g. R)

Excellent knowledge of immunes sciences

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Self-directed, organized and able to work both independently and as a part of a team.

Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Excellent analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills.

Hourly Salary: $30.00

Hours per Week: 40 (Full time)
