We are seeking to fill a position of Full-Time Research Assistant at the Montreal Neurological Institute under the supervision of Drs. Madeleine Sharp, Alain Dagher and Ron Postuma.
We are looking for an individual to assist in conducting a CIHR-funded longitudinal study examining the progressing of cognitive impairment in individuals with Parkinson's disease and aimed at identifying the underlying risk and protective factors.
The Research Assistant with work under the direct supervision of the principal investigators. The specific responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring that we are following research procedures and protocols
  • Assist with participant recruitment
  • Execute research procedures, including data collection, through interviews, and collection of demographic, clinical, cognitive and MRI data
  • Work with collaborating teams on data collection
  • Following data management procedures
  • Compilation of research data and data cleaning
  • Conduct data analysis in support of research activities
  • Provide guidance to undergraduate and graduate student research assistants in service of the project
  • Perform administrative tasks in relation to the project, e.g. ethics applications
The RA will have the opportunity to work with a large number of student and staff researchers as part of this ambitious and collaborative project and will have the opportunity to take part in various educational and research meetings and seminars. There will also be opportunities to contribute to writing research reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Subject matter expertise either through Bachelor's degree or through previous research positions.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience. Experience in conducting clinical research is a requirement. Experience with data analysis is also a requirement.
- Fluency in French and English (spoken and written) as the position will involve regular patient-facing interactions during recruitment and testing.

Hourly Salary: $29.87
