Research Assistant 1 position co-supervised by Prof. Corinne Hoesli and Prof. Pierre-Luc Girard-Lauriault. Assists laboratory members on the "Micropatterned Plasma Polymer Coatings for Cell Culture" project.
Responsibilities:

  • Deposit micropatterned coatings using PECVD.
  • Characterize coatings.
  • Perform cell culture on surfaces.
  • Analyse the effets of coatings on cells.
  • Prepare presentations and written reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or relevant discipline.
Proficient with X-Ray photoelectron spectroscopy
Proficient with scanning electron microscopy
Other Qualifying Skills:
  • Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level #3
