Role Overview:
This individual leads and coordinates multiple research and evaluation projects at Covenant House Toronto on various topics and programming related to youth homelessness and sex trafficking.
Responsibilities:
Keeping abreast of current research and literature
Creating research and evaluation frameworks, including identification of methodology and measurement tools
Qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis
Synthesis and writing of results
Dissemination of research and evaluation findings
Creation and administration of surveys using Qualtrics
Working with program staff to identify and develop measures for outcomes and KPIs
Development of data visualizations, and infographics
Support CHT staff in understanding, collecting and utilizing data and findings
Other tasks as assigned to support departmental and/or organizational objectives
Qualifications:
Master's Degree, preferably in social sciences, or Bachelor's and equivalent experience
3-5 years of direct research and/or evaluation experience utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, data, and analysis. Experience coordinating research and/or evaluation will be prioritized
Knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative methodologies and related software e.g., SPSS and NVivo
Ability to create data visualizations, knowledge of Tableau, Canva and Infogram an asset
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
Comfortable taking initiative, working on multiple tasks and in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail and quality of outputs
Ability to conduct all stages of research and evaluation process from a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive lens
Ability to flex hours (evenings/weekends) to accommodate data collection and other projects as needed
Knowledge of youth homelessness, sex trafficking and/or front-line work is an asset
