The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health is currently seeking a full-time, contract (1 year) Research Analyst to assist with ongoing research projects at CAMH. The position will be based within the Translational Addiction Research Laboratory (TARL) and Addiction Division at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. The successful applicant will have a background relevant to clinical research and ideally addiction.
The primary responsibilities of this position will involve participant recruitment and scheduling, participants\xe2\x80\x99 assessments, ensuring that the study protocols are properly followed, completing questionnaires (including on REDCap), data management, and clerical duties associated with the project. Participant recruitment will take place through various sources and will involve healthy participants and/or patients from CAMH. Some of the projects will involve controlled drug administration in laboratory conditions, but also various clinical trials. The successful applicant will also work with the participants and research staff to perform participant screenings according to the project protocol, and administer questionnaires and neuropsychological tests under the supervision of study staff. Additionally, the successful applicant will be responsible for entering data into the study database. Additional responsibilities will include clerical duties associated with the project such as bookkeeping and documenting study expenditures, ensuring study protocols and research ethics documents are up-to-date, and preparing research materials (i.e., questionnaire forms, consent forms). There may be requirement to handle biological samples and to work on weekends occasionally.
This position will involve interactions with scientists of various research backgrounds and a strong interest in translational science. You will support a workplace that embraces diversity and encourages teamwork. This position is primarily located at 100 Stokes Street, with the possibility of supporting TARL research at 33 Ursula Franklin Street.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have an Honours Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree (e.g., Psychology, Neuroscience) with one (1) year of relevant observational and/or clinical research experience. Experience working or volunteering in an academic research laboratory or on clinical trials is an asset. The successful candidate will have experience interacting with demographically and clinically diverse individuals. Education or experience with addictions is preferred. Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral/written) and organizational skills are required, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members. You will be detail-oriented and be able to exercise initiative and good judgment. The successful candidate will have the ability to multi-task and produce high-quality, accurate work while meeting deadlines and requirements. Ability to effectively handle confidential materials and the ability to exercise initiative with good judgment and tact is required. The successful candidate will have the ability to work effectively in a variety of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.

Salary Range: $25.03 to $33.38 per hour
