Vendor Managed Inventory Driver
The Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Specialist/Technician is responsible for managing and replenishing inventory at customer locations, ensuring optimal stock levels, and providing on-site customer service and support related to VMI programs and equipment. This role requires regular customer site visits and interaction to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage inventory levels at customer sites to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages. Generate replenishment orders based on inventory data, usage trends, and established parameters. Track and report inventory levels to internal teams and supply partners, ensuring accuracy and availability. Participate in cycle counts and annual physical inventory to maintain accurate inventory records.
Customer Site Support:
Travel daily to customer locations to assess inventory, address stock needs, and maintain product availability. Unpack, receive, and put away products at designated locations within the customer's site. Provide on-site customer service and support for VMI solutions, including addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Maintain the organization and cleanliness of VMI areas and equipment at customer sites (e.g., 6S practices).
Operational Tasks:
Drive company vehicles to transport and deliver goods safely and in compliance with regulations. Load and unload trucks as needed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols. Perform minor repairs and maintenance on vending solution equipment as required.
Communication & Collaboration:
Establish and maintain productive relationships with key customer contacts, including warehouse and purchasing personnel. Communicate effectively with internal teams (sales, customer service, logistics) regarding customer needs, order status, and potential issues. Identify and recommend opportunities for product expansion or improvement at customer sites.
Compliance & Safety:
Adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and customer-specific safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Ensure barcode labels are updated and legible for scanners to read

Are you a MATCH?

2 to 5 years of industry experience, customer service or sales of welding or industrial products
Knowledge of welding processes and products is an asset but not mandatory
Good knowledge of computer systems and google suite
Secondary diploma
Class 5 license, clean driver's abstract
A positive attitude and customer service focus
Forklift experience would be an asset as well
Ability to lift 50lbs
