Position Summary: This course provides an examination of historical and contemporary contexts of education including various philosophical perspectives, and political, social, and legal aspects of the Ontario education system. Central to the course is developing an understanding of the ethical and professional standards that govern teachers\' professional work in Ontario.

Successful candidate will work with the course lead in order to provide consistency across sections.

Assets for a successful candidate: Doctoral degree in education or related discipline; post-secondary teaching experience in teacher education; K-12 teaching experience in Ontario; School leadership experience in supporting or developing understandings of the ethical and professional standards in Ontario

Qualifications - Required: Master\'s degree in education or related discipline; Bachelor of Education and/or K - 12 Teaching Certification; Experience in educational contexts at the K-12 level in Ontario
