We are currently seeking a qualified Reporting Lead to join our Mining Division team, based out of Saskatoon, SK or Calgary, AB. The Reporting Lead will be responsible for driving the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of reporting systems that support project performance monitoring and stakeholder communication. They are responsible for maintaining the Construction Progress and Reporting Procedure and associated Work Instructions, ensuring consistent application across the project. They ensure the Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT) and Construction Execution Partners understand the inputs, tools, processes, and outputs related to construction progress and performance reporting. Working with K+S Potash (KSPC) as an Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT), to expand the KSPC Bethune Potash Mine in near Moose Jaw Saskatchewan from 2.2 to 3.0M tonnes per annum over the next 5 years. The final production capacity is intended to grow over decades to 4M tonnes per year, doubling the current production output of potash.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design reporting framework, maintain dashboards and metrics, and validate data inputs to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with project controls, construction, supply chain, vendors, contractors and executive teams to align reporting outputs with project objectives and continuously enhance reporting tools and processes to meet evolving needs.
  • Support the project team in all matters related to reporting.
  • Develop and present data centric reports to articulate trends, challenges and opportunities to Program Leadership for decision making.
  • Lead preparation of reporting architecture, frequency, and validation of information being presented.
  • Evaluate efficiencies that can be gained by using Big Data Environments to centralize data into a single source of truth.
  • Build upon existing programs and systems to implement an effective and integrated system of reporting.
  • Maintain metrics and statistics based on a Big Data Environment
  • Facilitate periodic senior-level meetings to review the data and provide recommendations based on the data being presented.
  • Frequently work with project stakeholders to ensure the reporting information provided by the team meets their needs
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of professional experience in engineering and construction with a minimum of 5 years relevant project controls reporting experience.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Construction, or Management (preferred); Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction, or Management (minimum).
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with a holistic approach to project management with specific focus on project controls, commercial, and reporting requirements at a portfolio and/or program level.
  • Previous experience in developing and implementing systems to measure performance of engineering and construction projects.
  • Experience managing multi-discipline teams.
  • Excellent communication skills (English language) at multiple levels of management and client relations.
