Position: Reporter/Producer Location: Calgary, Alberta Salary: Unifor Group 4 - Commensurate with education and experience Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Shift work and overtime as required, including a typical shift starting early for CTV Morning Live.
Responsibilities: Working with the Calgary CTV Morning Live Team, this decisive, self-motivated, progressive thinking individual will be applying his/her measureable talent and leadership skills to perform the following duties for CTV Morning Live :

  • CTV Morning Live Segment Reporting & Producing.
  • Liase with News Mgmt, Sales, and clients on a regular basis to develop segments.
  • Live and taped reporting on location for client segments.
  • Proven ability to generate original segment ideas.
  • Actively participate in daily planning of CTV Morning Live.
  • On-air reporting and other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 year’s experience in a large market TV News Room.
  • Post Secondary Education in Broadcasting, or Journalism.
  • Proven knowledge of television production procedures, terminology and equipment capabilities.
  • Previous experience in a TV news operation.
  • Excellent organization, coordination, concentration, leadership and communication skills.
  • The ability to liase with clients in a professional and organized manner.
  • Excellent time management, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to react quickly and productively in a changing environment requiring immediate decision-making.
  • Ability to adhere to tight deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
