Your role

As a reporter for Radio-Canada, you will cover regional news in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean on a daily basis. For your primary assignment with RDI, you will be required to travel into the field to gather information and to present your stories live. You may also be assigned to more local coverage for the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean newsroom.
You will need to demonstrate clarity and rigor in accordance with CBC/Radio-Canada's Journalistic Standards and Practices, as well as creativity and originality in developing ideas and approaches for producing content on digital platforms, radio, and television.
In this role, you will report to the Editor-in-Chief of the Saguenay station.
We are looking for someone curious, energetic, comfortable presenting journalistic content live, and committed to teamwork and maintaining a positive work environment.
Please note that the standard schedule is Monday to Friday, from 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and may vary depending on production needs.
Your profile:

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent Three (3) years of experience in journalism or equivalent

Skills:Strong general knowledge In-depth understanding of current affairs in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean Excellent command of the French language Knowledge of English is an asset Familiarity with media-specific communication techniques (web, radio, TV) and interview methods Ability to work as part of a team while demonstrating autonomy, resourcefulness, and initiative Boldness, creativity, and curiosity in fact-finding Strong knowledge of producing digital news reports and managing social media Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Knowledge of the Corporation's Journalistic Standards and Practices Valid driver's licence

Selected candidates will be tested as follows:Written test related to the position French language test Interview
