Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the News Director, and working closely with our entire news team, this multi-skilled and focused individual will:

• Report, interview, write local news content on a daily basis
• Contribute strong, original story ideas daily
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of issues impacting the province
• Co-ordinate video, audio and graphic elements
• Editing skills required
• Other duties as assigned
• Report on-air as required

Critical Qualifications

• 3 years experience as a Reporter/Producer in a similar sized market
• Degree or diploma from an accredited post-secondary broadcast program and related television experience
• Strong editorial and storytelling ability with diverse range of style including live experience
• Strong journalistic sensibilities and integrity
• Solid background and knowledge of broadcast television and media production
• Ability to work well under pressure with multiple tight deadlines
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communicator and team player with positive, friendly manner
