Title:

Repack Lift Truck Driver

Reports to:

Production Manager

Based at:

Mucci PAC Ltd., Kingsville, Ontario

Type of Employment:

Full-time, permanent, 5 days a week, Midnight shift with potentially extended hours depending on workload and priorities; which could include possible Friday shifts (unless stipulated otherwise in offer of employment).

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Operate material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner (sit-down and stand-up forklifts) Follows established safety regulations; appropriate use of signals (horns), proper use of seatbelts, scanning guns and other equipment as required Ability and flexibility to work extra hours as needed Continuously seek methods to improve or better serve both internal and external customers Stacks or piles materials, pallets, etc Bundles and bands with material banding machines Sorts and stores items according to their required locations Attaches identifying tags or marks information on pallets, containers as needed Communicates with Production Supervisors, Line Leaders and Commodity planners for daily schedule and allocations Maintains the cleanliness of the workstation, machines, and forklift, along with organizing coolers, repack and drop zone Keeps record of forklift inspection and watering process on a daily or weekly basis Assist other departments when free and needed Additional tasks as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Safe driver as a forklift operator and conduct daily equipment inspections. 1-3 years of experience Previous experience with vegetables or comparable environment is preferred. Related experience in logistics will be considered an asset; however, training will be provided to the successful candidate. Ability to conduct basic mathematical calculations. Ability to communicate effectively (written, oral and spoken) in English. Experience with Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Outlook. Knowledge of Famous and Redline Cooler programs (for inventory management) will be considered an asset. Must be able to work independently or within a team setting. Positive attitude, punctual and willing to grow within the company.

Physical Abilities:

Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs. Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs Must be able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time. Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ?C / 55 ?F.
