Job Description

Vincent Communications and Controls Ltd. (VCCL) is seeking a motivated and dependable Rental Technician - Field / Shop to join our team. This role is essential to supporting the mobilization, maintenance, and troubleshooting of portable towers, Starlink systems, two-way radios, and other specialized telecommunications rental equipment in a variety of environments.

When not busy with rental tasks, the successful candidate will be expected to complete various shop duties to support operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

Mobilize and demobilize portable towers, Starlink, and rental equipment.

Transport, install, program, and troubleshoot Starlink, voice radios, Wi-Fi, phones, and cell repeaters.

Build and maintain Starlink Head Ends, Remote PWUs, and radio code plugs.

Prepare, test, clean, and organize rental equipment to ensure operational readiness.

Create and manage rental work orders, document equipment condition, and provide post-rental support.

Collaborate with the NOC to ensure systems are updated and ready for deployment.

Ensure equipment is properly labeled, maintained, and stored, with inventory kept organized and stocked.

Travel to remote and rugged locations; overnight stays may be required.

Work at heights and in adverse weather conditions using ladders, aerial lifts, and other tools.

Maintain a clean and organized shop environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is considered an asset.

Field experience in Communications / Telecom industry is considered an asset.

Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.

Physically fit; able to safely lift up to 55 lbs.

Basic understanding of computer systems and safe use of tools.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Excellent English communication skills--verbal and written.

Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality work.

What do we have to offer?

Hourly rate ranges between $25.00/hour - $35.00/hour - Compensation will be based on a combination of experience and education.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, weekends on-call

Overtime paid after 8 hours/day and on weekends.
