Site Foreman - Home Renovations

to join our awesome team.

As The Site Foreman You Will:

? Manage, work on, and oversee the completion of renovation projects in harmony with Caribou Restorations Ltd. owner and clients.

? Motivate and supervise a crew of laborers with varying degrees of experience through a series of renovations by scheduling, coordinating, and delegating work.

? Provide guidance or training to crew members on proper construction techniques and use of tools.

? Encourage productivity of crew members and meet production goals.

? Coordination of work with trades.

? Correctly interpret blueprints, plans, and drawings.

? Schedule and coordinate the delivery of materials to job sites.

? Inspect work in progress to ensure that it meets specifications and safety standards.

? Manage equipment needed for the job site, oversee equipment inventory, and maintain records of work progress, materials used, and costs incurred.

? Ensure that all work is delivered safely on time and within budget.

Ideal Candidate:

? 10+ years experience as a qualified and competent carpenter and experience leading a team.

? Be a leader. Be consistently professional, optimistic and self-motivated.

? Exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to provide high-end finishing.

? Outstanding client service, organizational and time management skills.

? Great personality; effective communication, both written and oral.

? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

? Work with the trades in a professional and interactive manner.

? Ability to work within a team environment.

? High-level understanding of renovation and construction methodologies, use of power tools or other tools related to construction.

? Follow Caribou Restorations Ltd. "Employee Code of Conduct" and ensure employees follow the guiding principles.

? Ability to meet physical demands of the job and work 8 hours a day (Mon-Fri) with overtime potential.

? Strong English language skills, both written and oral.

? Work in Ottawa and surrounding areas, have valid driver's license, and vehicle in working condition.

Assets:

Preferably has completed all education and training to acquire a General Carpenter's certificate - Red Seal. Heath & Safety qualifications. Hands-on experience with tiling, drywall, mudding, sanding, painting and finishes.

Job description is not all-inclusive and the employee may be required to perform other related duties.

Paid weekly, and salary is dependent upon experience. Incremental raises based on experience and productivity. References are required.
