2. Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced

Canadian CPA

to provide ongoing Controller-level support to multiple construction-industry clients. You will work remotely, supporting client bookkeepers, improving accounting systems, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role is ideal for a CPA with an existing small client base who is looking to expand their portfolio with flexible, recurring contract work.

3. Responsibilities

Provide Controller-level oversight across several construction clients Improve month-end processes, reporting structures, and accounting workflows Support and mentor client bookkeepers on accounting treatments and posting accuracy Review and maintain general ledger structure and job-costing frameworks Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports Ensure compliance with GST/PST, payroll remittances, T4s, T5018s, WCB, and other government filings Collaborate with external accountants for year-end engagements Provide financial guidance and insights to business owners

4. Qualifications

CPA designation (in good standing) - required

Must reside in Canada on a full time and permanent basis

5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller or senior accounting roles Experience working with construction or contracting businesses Strong proficiency with

QuickBooks Online

Knowledge of financial statement preparation, general ledger setup, and job costing Strong communication skills and ability to support multiple clients independently
