When disasters happen, Remediation Technicians at On Side are truly on 'your side'. Asbestos and mould can pop-up anywhere and requires special knowledge and experience to deal with. Remediation Technicians can perform remediation services while protecting the health and safety of workers and clients.
Remediation Technicians are responsible for:
Ensuring a safe work area from asbestos and mould by knowing how to remove and remediate potential dangers from the work site
Identifying and disposing of asbestos and mould contaminated materials
Cross training into water/fire emergencies
What you bring:
Valid Type 2 Operations Asbestos Ticket (we will check)
Ability to perform work following procedure and legislation
Clean shaven face (if applicable) for every shift (for full mask fit)
Cleanliness of site, vehicle, and tools
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow scope of work
Organized with a good sense of time-- you're rarely late and know where all your tools are
Physically fit-- remediation can, at times, include heavy lifting and getting into (and out of) tight places
Friendly and enjoys working in a team!
A safety-first mindset
Valid driver's licence and a clean criminal record (we do check)
Ability to communicate in English
Other stuff that will contribute to your success but isn't required:
A background in demolition
Construction experience
