The Opportunity:

CANADIAN NATURAL has an exciting opportunity within our dynamic Human Resources team. The Relocation Advisor provides an opportunity to work with some of the best HR professionals in the industry.

As a Relocation Advisor with Canadian Natural, you will make a significant contribution by bringing your experience and enthusiasm to administering the relocation program. You will demonstrate your ability to adapt to the processes and functionality of Canadian Natural\xe2\x80\x99s systems and apply your skills while interfacing with clients and employees.

Reporting to the HR Client Solutions Lead, the Relocation Advisor plays an integral role that acts as a primary point of contact for cross-border and domestic mobility. As a Relocation Advisor you are a team player who values collaboration, takes initiative, communicates effectively and strategically while delivering various and, at times, complex information in a diplomatic and concise manner to all stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead the seamless execution of all mobility programs, including proactive communication with leaders, employees, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Organize and execute all documentation supporting the mobility life-cycle including vendor service initiations and internal mobility documentation.
  • Conduct research and remain up-to-date with the leading developments in mobility, including legislative environments in Canada and the USA.
  • Respond to all internal and external relocation program questions and issues.
  • Provide strategic input into the continued development of \xe2\x80\x98best in class\xe2\x80\x99 mobility programs and practices.
  • Manage mobility vendors to ensure value-for-service is obtained. Monitor costs and performance and provide feedback.
  • Manage internal stakeholder and employee expectations and concerns regarding mobility programs and practices within established timelines and guidelines.
  • Provide advice to HR, employees, and leadership on the interpretation and application of mobility policies and guidelines.
  • Coordinate due-diligence processes and reporting with internal partners (accounting, tax, payroll, HR, operations).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of domestic and cross-border mobility policies and practices, including immigration, tax, compensation, and compliance.
  • Support mobility of employees and their families in a thoughtful, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, a sense of urgency, critical thinking skills, detail orientation, and the ability to stay organized in order to balance priorities and work on a multitude of concurrent projects.
  • Ability to anticipate and manage change, recommending creative solutions that balance the interests of the business and employees.
  • Develop and maintain effective tracking and reporting tools

  • Shift schedule: 5x2 \xe2\x80\x93 Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience, with 5 years in a mobility-focused role.
  • Experience with the delivery of corporate mobility programs.
  • Experience managing international relocations with the support of an Immigration Advisor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
