Job Description


Headquartered in Saint John, New Brunswick, NBM Railways is comprised of three short line railroads: NB Southern Railway, Eastern Maine Railway, and Maine Northern Railway. Together, they provide the most direct rail connections between Atlantic Canada and the northeastern United States. Through partnerships with other major railways, NBM Railways cargo is delivered to destinations across North America.NBM Railways is currently seeking a full-time, permanent Reload Operator.Responsibilities:

  • Strapping loads on rail cars
  • Safe & efficient operation of Forklift in our reload yard
  • Unloading & loading trucks and railcars
  • Completing necessary paperwork from shippers
  • Working with customers and drivers
  • Must be able to work in outdoor & physically demanding conditions
  • General upkeep of equipment and facility
  • Must be flexible to work in other departments (i.e. Track) during slow periods at the reload yard
Education Requirements/Knowledge & Skills:
  • Should be a certified forklift operator (or willing to become certified)
  • At least 1 year of forklift experience is preferred
  • Must be willing to be trained in Fall Arrest
  • Must have a valid passport or passcard and driver\xe2\x80\x99s license
  • Must be flexible for shift work (may include weekends/ nights/etc. at times)
  • Possess a commitment to customer service, productivity, teamwork and safety
