Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity within our Paper Mill for a Operations Team Leader, Relief.

Responsible for day-to-day operation of the paper finishing and shipping department and supervision of 9 unionized employees. Will coordinate the flow of paper through the department for shipping to customers throughout the world. We are the largest producer of supercalendered paper in North America and supply customers with world class magazine and catalogue paper.

• Leading a skilled unionized operations team in a safe and effective manner. Working with various departments throughout the mill to ensure production and quality targets are met.
• You will administer the collective agreement(s), input and approve daily time entries, and identify areas for improvement within your area(s) of responsibility.
• Safety and environmental awareness
• Will be willing to support the development of an engaged workforce with a focus on continuous improvement.

Irving Paper, Limited is a leading producer of specialty grade Supercalendered (SC) papers for flyers and magazines. Our technology gives us the flexibility to manufacture a full range of paper grades (from SCB to SCA+). We are the largest producer of supercalendered paper in North America and supply customers with world class magazine and catalogue paper.

You Have:

• Experience in Manufacturing logistics and Shipping
• Bachelor\'s Degree or 2 year completed diploma in a related field
• Proven track record in performance and results
• Industry related experience is an asset
• Familiar with computerized operations and administrative systems
• Shift experience working in a 24/7 operation
• Willing to work a combination of day and shift work in a safety conscious, fast paced manufacturing plant.
• Previous leadership experience as front-line supervisor. Ideally in some type of manufacturing, operations, or transportation environment
