We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospital pharmacy, with experience in acute care and pediatrics. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to patients, while providing exceptional patient care and support.

Responsibilities

Review and interpret medication orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness for patient needs. Prepare and dispense medications, including intravenous admixtures, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Provide clinical consultations to healthcare providers regarding medication therapy management and potential drug interactions. Monitor patient medication regimens for efficacy, safety, and adherence, making necessary adjustments as needed. Educate patients and their families on medication administration, side effects, and proper usage. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and inventory management. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes through effective medication management.

Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution. Active pharmacist license in the state of practice. Previous hospital experience preferred, particularly in acute care settings. Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency in medication administration practices. Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and education. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3-5 days

Pay: $95.00-$100.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
