Join The Team:
ERCO Worldwide is looking for a Relief Operator to join our Production team! This is located in Hargrave, Manitoba which is our sodium chlorate manufacturing facility! This position is minutes west of Virden on the Trans-Canada highway. The compensation for this position is highly competitive. Starting wage can vary based on previous operating experience and then, subsequent success through operator training program. The standard hours of work are usually days Monday to Friday, 7:00-3:30, however, the Relief Operator is expected to provide coverage for shift operators upon completion of required training. At this point, hours of work can vary to include 12-hour day or night shifts as well, 7 days a week. Any over time that is worked is paid at double time and call outs are paid a minimum of 4 hours per call and only as required. This role will be reporting to the Production Supervisor.
The Role:
Responsible for the safe, environmentally diligent and efficient operations of the plant through assigned duties which include, but not limited to:
General plant housekeeping
Railcar loading and movement
Raw material offloading
Provide lab technician coverage
Daily operational process safety field checks and PMs.
Equipment preparation for required maintenance.
The incumbent is expected to continually progress through operator training skill blocks.
The Person:
Minimum 4th class Power Engineering certification. Other post-secondary education in a related field will be considered an attribute.
Industrial work experience, preference with a chemical manufacturing background.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work with people of varying disciplines and levels in the organization.
