The Relief Foreman plays a crucial role in supporting operations by providing relief for the shift supervisor position. This role ensures safety, supervision, and efficient plant operations, while also validating and updating procedures, training operators, and assisting with process improvements and troubleshooting. The Relief Foreman is integral to plant start-up activities and supports both lab and operations coordination, contributing to the overall effectiveness and safety of the site.

Providing relief for the shift supervisor position to maintain seamless operations. Supporting site plasticizer production through troubleshooting, optimization, and supervision. Assisting with capital project start-ups and supporting operational readiness. Driving process improvement trials to achieve specific operational objectives. Conducting training for operators on compliance and new procedures. Supporting training follow-up in the field to ensure ongoing competency. Acting as backup for the lab coordinator and operations coordinator. Collaborating with the operations manager and coordinator to conduct production trials and review procedures. Engaging daily with operators, maintenance, and lab teams to foster a collaborative work environment.

Bring knowledge of chemical processes and strong technical troubleshooting skills. Have previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or operations environment. Hold post-secondary education relevant to the field. Are proficient in Microsoft Office and computer literate. Understand BASF's Ecology, Health and Safety Standards, as well as applicable codes and regulations. Can support optimization projects through data analysis and field testing. Can interact effectively with various internal teams and support capital project workloads. Are comfortable working outdoors, climbing ladders, lifting, and navigating stairs, demonstrating the physical ability and readiness to take on hands-on tasks in a dynamic environment.
