Our Team

The Reliability team works cross functionally in the implementation of reliability projects and programs, that encompass systems, processes, procedures, standards, KPIs, analysis and tools that will maximize business value for fixed and mobile assets.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Reliability Projects Engineer to join our North Atlantic Operations team in Sudbury. This is a permanent position. The role is required to create a four and five year rolling capital plan that will encompass operations in Manitoba, Newfoundland and Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing the list of units to replace, rebuild or add over the Life of Mine Plan (LoMP) for an operational asset.
  • Support the development business planning including the 5-year LoMP.
  • Collaborate on the execution of new mining projects.
  • Refine and reevaluate current rebuild or replacement strategies including alignment on fleet requirements based on the LoMP.
  • Creation of project documents (i.e. technical appraisals, estimates, equipment specifications, and related areas) as the baseline for RFP packages.
  • Perform the technical review of proposals from our vendors to determine the suitability and coordinating those reviews with our plants.
  • Receive new equipment and verification that they meet the requirements set out in the contract documents.
  • Register new equipment and create maintenance strategies.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to revise language, layout and content to reflect the requirements of hard rock mining.
About You

Education:
  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering required.
  • Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP) and/or Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) certification is preferred.
Experience:
  • 5 years of maintenance, reliability and/or engineering experience.
Skills:
  • Experience with reliability tools (FMEA, Criticality analysis, etc.) developing asset service strategies and managing metrics such as availability, OEE, MTBF in a mining or industrial environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, planning, organizational and time management skills.
  • Software skills in of MS Office products and CMMS systems (SAP preferred).
