Artemis Gold received its BC Mines Act permit for Blackwater Mine in March 2023 enabling the project to move into major works construction.Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the Reliability Engineer/ Senior Planner - Mobile Maintenance is responsible for reliability and maintainability initiatives for mobile assets and continuously developing the maintenance and reliability programs and ensuring that short- and long-term maintenance plans align with operations strategic goals and objectives at Blackwater Gold. This role will be responsible for optimizing reliability, risk, and cost to meet the business objectives.Location: Blackwater Mine SiteSchedule: Two (2) Weeks On - Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems.
  • Provide expertise in areas such as predictive maintenance, loss elimination, root cause analysis, and maintenance strategy, planning and scheduling optimization.
  • Responsible for condition monitoring and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical support to production, maintenance management, Reliability EIT and technical personnel.
  • Measure and analyze equipment performance and loss data.
  • Assist Reliability EIT to establish a Root Cause Analysis program to review failures, identify corrective action to prevent re-occurrence and refine asset strategy to sustain improvement.
  • Utilize OEM platform for analyzing heavy equipment and mining fleet.
  • Collaborate with Chief Engineer and Maintenance Superintendent to develop reliability improvement asset strategies. Develop business cases for projects that meet capital expenditure criteria.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment performance, failures, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with mobile maintenance teams, operations, and safety professionals to align reliability efforts with operational goals while maintaining a strong commitment to safety.
  • Cross shift coverage for Chief Engineer and as required.
  • Develop, complete, and drive standard maintenance procedures.
  • Review work request process and provide feedback/deliver maintenance schedules as required.
  • Develop and manage the mine maintenance program by determining the specific maintenance work required to maximize equipment availability at minimum cost and with minimum unplanned maintenance.
  • Produce weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance schedules and KPI reports.
Qualifications:
  • University degree in Mechanical or Mining Engineering required.
  • Member in Good standing with EGBC or eligible for transfer from another provincial / territorial association.
  • 5 years minimum maintenance planning experience in a mobile maintenance setting is required.
  • Previous construction equipment and/or mobile maintenance mining experience in a maintenance or reliability role required.
  • Extensive CMMS experience is desired
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols and practices.
  • Proficiency in mining mobile equipment systems and diagnostics including oil analysis is required.
  • Knowledge of condition monitoring technologies specific to mobile machinery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data related to mobile equipment health and reliability.
  • Experience in dealing with contract services and manufacturer representatives.
  • A thorough understanding of mobile equipment, specifically, CAT.
  • A valid driver license and a driverxe2x80x99s abstract.
  • Experience with short- and long-range maintenance planning.
  • Basic common core and supervisor training would be considered an asset.
  • In-depth understanding of OHS and mining regulations.
