Job Description


As a Fixed Equipment Engineer, you will provide leadership with a focus on strategic fixed equipment programs to ensure positive business impact and continuous improvement at our refinery in Saint John, New Brunswick. Your success in this role will be demonstrated through effective program development and implementation of fixed equipment life cycle, end of life, reliability data management, and analysis.

Your roles and responsibilities:

Development, implementation, and stewardship of fixed equipment

Asset Management Plans

End of Life analysis program

Life Cycle Analysis

Economic Analysis

Data mining, and analysis of fixed equipment integrity program data & KPIs

Create an environment of continual knowledge transfer and education regarding mechanical integrity and fixed equipment reliability.

Ensure strategic visioning for fixed equipment are aligned with business drivers.

Ensure safe, efficient, economical rational for fixed equipment strategic programs are in line with industry spec, standards and IOL risk profile.

Ensure consistency and innovation with fixed equipment strategic programs.

Advocate for and oversee programs, processes, projects, supports budget development and ensures the direction and path for the area of expertise.

Present/ teach relevant discipline insights and trends to managers and senior leaders and peers.

Technical initiator and Contributor of business-critical expense and capital items with full lifecycle and future operation implications considered.

Fixed equipment Asset Management Plan (AMP) development.

Prove proficiency in data mining and analysis.

Your experience

University bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering, knowledge of complex engineering processes and designing procedures and policies.

Minimum 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in engineering discipline, organizational experience, and experience at a leading engineering level.

Experience with MOCs, EWO/ TWOs, RFQs, SOW for Orange, Red RBDM, CapEx/ OpEx projects.

Education and Experience with Reliability Engineering & Asset Management (CMRP designation would be an asset).

MS office applications, particularly Power BI, Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.

Meridium or other IDMS (inspection data management software)

Certification and experience with API 510/ 570/ 571/ 579 would be an asset.
