Role
The Reliability Engineer (Electrical) is responsible for identifying and managing asset reliability risks for the prevention of failures as well as developing and executing the company\'s asset inspection program, to ensure the integrity of Corporation structures to meet operating requirements and ensure the reliability of the Seaway system.
Responsibilities

  • Establish equipment performance standards and programs to ensure equipment operational performance is optimized
  • Develop and review of equipment health monitoring programs and techniques
  • Collect and analyze maintenance data, conduct inspections, assessments, feasibility studies and various analyses and use the data to make recommendations for Continuous Improvement
  • Prepare supporting documentation and develop strategies to avoid maintenance delays
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Failure Mode and Effects Criticality Analysis by asset, based on maintenance data analysis
  • While analyzing maintainability issues, provide support with respect to: Determining outage requirements,Cost limitations for uptime/downtime, Repair vs replacement cost, Alternative analysis on repair methodology
  • Provide expert assistance in Electrical Engineering, and participate in the medium and long term planning of infrastructure maintenance
  • Provide support to operational safety programs and initiatives as required
  • Ensure application of health, safety and environmental standards meet legislated requirements and company policy

Experience and knowledge
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in reliability engineering, inspection, evaluation and rehabilitation of electrical systems, maintenance techniques , including experience in troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of PLC, SCADA and control systems, interface and communication protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet, TCP/IP and OPC.
  • Thorough knowledge of inspection standards and safety codes
  • Knowledgeable & demonstrated use of RCM techniques, including maintenance task analysis, critical spare parts analysis, maintenance procedures, reliability & risk assessments
Education
  • University degree in Electrical Engineering
Certifications
  • Professional Engineer license in the Province of Ontario (PEO) or Member of l\'Ordre des ing\xc3\xa9neurs du Qu\xc3\xa9bec
  • Valid Class G (ON) or Class 5 (QC) driver\'s license and insurable driving record
Projected Start Date: 10/31/2022

Hours of work: 37.5 per week

Pay Grade : S-gr - G

Salary range:$56.18/hour (min) to $62.84/hour (max)

$109,551.00 to $122,538.00 (annual)
