We have an exciting opportunity for a Release Coordinator - Commercial Technologies to join our Corporate Information Systems and Technology department. The Release Coordinator \xe2\x80\x93 Commercial Technologies is a key hands-on technical position responsible for the management of the releases for our corporate website, mobile app and other digital technology platforms. The Release Coordinator works closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, project teams and our development and sustaining engineering teams to offer optimal delivery for initiatives to meet schedule and budget objectives. Releases can include everything from project deliverables and application updates to hardware upgrades, security enhancements and operating system and application patches. This individual is also a strong advocate for Agile development methodologies and will be responsible for working with our development partners to not only maintain but enhance our practices in this space by clearly articulating current and future processes in all communications.

Key Activities/What You will Be Doing:

Strategy & Planning:

Use agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions across our digital ecosystem

Collaborate with project managers and project sponsors to align deployment strategy to deliverables

Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all Commercial and digital platforms as well as the company\xe2\x80\x99s strategic business plans

Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing these processes or complementing them

Acquisition & Deployment:

Manage release plan and cycles in accordance with business and corporate priorities

Collaborate closely with project sponsors, vendors, IST and business team members throughout the life cycle of projects

Participate in the development and implementation of new business processes that improve efficiency and enhance productivity

Maintain a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists

Ensure all project related administration and user guides are properly maintained and communicated

Operational Management:

Manage tasks, issues, risks, and action items related to releases

Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews

Schedule and facilitate scrum events, meetings, and decision-making processes

Work with stakeholders and project teams to prioritize collected requirements and groom sustaining engineering backlog.

Support team in the creation of UAT test cases, organize and facilitate UAT testing, track test results, and work with the project manager and project team to ensure issues resolved in a timely fashion

Support business team with organization and delivery of product demonstrations to stakeholders

Gather, analyze and summarize analytic data to track web performance and development velocity and quality against established KPIs and OKRs.

Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards

Develop and utilize standard templates to ensure requirement specifications are captured accurately and concisely

Act effectively as technical speaker with the business and project team

Support team in timely resolution of post-release / production issues

Relationship Management:

Train, mentor, and support scrum teams to follow agile values, principles, and practices

Forge strong and effective relationships with business stakeholders in Commercial organization including Analytics & Reporting, CRM and Digital teams

Gain trust and confidence among colleagues and internal customers those deliverables will be provided with high quality, as expected, and on time

Manage on-going relationship with various vendors and partners and coordinate development-related activities

Proven ability to comprehend technical systems and processes and possess the technical knowledge needed to work with the development and quality assurance teams at a detailed level.

Experience, Education and Professional Qualifications / What You Bring

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in a Computer Science, scientific, business, or technical field or commensurate experience.

Certified Scrum Release Train Engineer or similar is preferred

2 to 5 years of related IT and scrum management experience applied in a fast-paced release management setting

3+ years of experience as a scrum master or in a similar role.

Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.

Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, UAT coordination, release management.

Required experience and knowledge of:

Phases of the software and web development lifecycle

DevOps & Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)

TestRail or similar test management tools

Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred experience and knowledge of:

Automated testing tools

JIRA & Confluence \xe2\x80\x93 issue and bug tracker

All internal applications must be submitted and approved in Workday by April 28, 2023.

This role will be a Hybrid working model, which will require 3 days per week in the Four Seasons Corporate Office located at 1165 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario #LI-Hybrid
