 Relationship Management Director - Montreal

We established a Canadian Lending Branch in February 2019 to better service the booming Canadian tech and life sciences industries. To better serve the growing Quebec market, we are currently hiring for the position of Director, Relationship Management, Technology Banking, based in Montreal. 
 The Director will lead the expansion of our Quebec footprint and help catalyze the growth of the innovation economy in the region. The Relationship Manager role is responsible for acquiring, orchestrating, and growing entire client and ecosystem relationships; deepening relationships within the C-Suite; consulting on, and cross-selling, our platform to address client business; orchestrating cross-functional teams to optimize the client experience; and building real relationships to differentiate with all key influencers in the market. Core responsibilities include new business development and expansion of existing relationships, as well as, originating, advising on, and negotiating financing solutions. 
 The Relationship Manager is responsible for a portfolio of client, prospect, and influential relationships in Quebec (and possible expansion of duties for the Provinces East of Quebec). Relationship Managers are highly skilled at building and growing relationships with Founders, CEO's, CFO's, and other key influencers. It's essential to have a strong understanding of the capital structure of venture backed technology companies, as well as being a highly skilled negotiator and financial engineer. Maintains overall general management responsibility of their respective client portfolio. 
 The Relationship Manager role is best suited for someone that has demonstrated an ability to lead and grow a region. The ideal candidate should be highly effective in developing internal and external business networks; and experienced in building, managing, and scaling a business. Those who possess an extensive network of business relationships will be preferred (incl. clients, prospects, referral sources, and other influential relationships in the Quebec technology ecosystem and beyond).
