We recognize the land and waters that have inspired our work and offer gratitude to those Indigenous peoples on whose territory we work, live and play.About the roleCanadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular Full-Time Relationship Management Associate to join our dynamic Medical Affairs and Innovation team.The Medical Affairs and Innovation team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by providing oversight for the Centre for Innovation, organ and stem cell donation and transplantation, utilization, donor and clinical services, medical microbiology, and epidemiology. The team ensures that Canadian Blood Services\' medical and scientific support is provided to the ongoing operations of every aspect of their work.The Relationship Management Associate is the first point of contact for building, managing, and supporting the evolution of relationships with internal stakeholders and external stakeholder groups such as partners, hospital representatives, stem cell registries, transplant & collection centers. You will be responsible for fostering a positive image and reputation of Canadian Blood Services within the healthcare sector and maintain a good public image to ensure there is ongoing public support.Formula for success
  • Leveraging your excellent relationship-building skills, you will identify opportunities to build and maintain relationships that will address the diverse needs of all stakeholders. This includes proactively developing partnerships with hospitals and transplant & collection centers to assist with identifying standardization opportunities and clinical trial collaborations.
  • You will collaborate with Stem Cell Community Development Managers to act as an advocate for Stem Cell patients and their families, identifying opportunities to build relationships to address their diverse needs.
  • Drawing on your excellent problem-solving skills, you will develop compelling solutions to customer issues and tap into the resources and skills within Canadian Blood Services to develop customer-focused solutions.
  • Utilizing your superior interpersonal and communication skills, you will develop, implement, and evaluate effective communication strategies and resource materials to enhance public and stakeholder awareness in support of patient needs.
  • Harnessing your excellent attention to detail, you will provide monthly reporting on key activities, perform environmental scans on demand for Stem Cell and Cord Blood products and services, and ensure information shared with stakeholders is current, accurate and reflective of the partnership.
  • You will work closely with Stem Cells National Systems Solutions (SCNSS) IT subject matter experts to support training within our collection and transplant centers and monitor proficiency within the system.
Desired education and skills
  • Post-secondary level education from a recognized academic institution, preferably a university degree in Health Sciences, Life Sciences, or Behavioural Sciences.
  • Minimum 5 years\' experience navigating stakeholder relationships in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, community development and counselling is required.
  • Experience in customer service and account management is an asset.
  • Experience working in a regulated, GMP environment is an asset.
  • Experience working in a role that is sensitive to the needs of the diverse community is an asset.
  • Experience and knowledge of adult learning principles is an asset.
  • Knowledge of SCNSS (National Stem Cell System Solution) is preferred.

  • This role will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week/7.5 hours per day.
  • This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at a Canadian Blood Services location at least 40% of the time.
  • Travel requirements - Travel may be required for annual conferences, meetings and partnership building opportunities.
