About the role:





This role is all about building meaningful connections with organizations across the Alberta Capital Region to inspire and grow support through corporate philanthropy, employee giving, sponsorships, and special events. You'll lead a portfolio of relationships, helping to drive revenue and deepen community impact. You will play a key role in identifying and cultivating new opportunities with organizations rooted in our region. This position reports to the Director, Corporate Partnerships and works collaboratively across teams to bring our mission to life through strategic engagement and shared purpose.


The Day to Day:




Builds, strengthens, and expands mutually beneficial relationships with corporate partners supporting United Way of the Alberta Capital Region. Completes Annual discovery calls with designated accounts, including preparation, follow up and documentation in CRM. Applies Key Account Management approach to nurture and grow accounts of strategic importance. This will include consulting with senior leadership, UWACR's Cabinet volunteers, and other internal stakeholders as required. Develops and tracks annual and long-term forecasted financial goals for Key Accounts, new business, with a strong focus on retention for the existing portfolio. Grows a portfolio of partner organizations by applying consultative and relationship building approaches. Serves a key client-facing role in ongoing external stakeholder relations with senior and executive level leadership. Support the sustainability and growth of key UWACR initiatives, such as All in for Youth, Make your Mark, Financial Reality Check, and Sponsored Campaign Representative program. Leads a team of, and helps recruit, Cabinet volunteers to ensure that they remain engaged and motivated; ensure that they are well-prepared for all meetings, calls and events. Leads meetings and relationship building /networking efforts at campaign and community events throughout the year ensuring key Decision-Making Unit (DMU) members, volunteers, and donors are properly engaged, supported, recognized and connected to UW team members across the organization. Ensures that accurate, up-to-date information is maintained in the database for assigned portfolio.

You have knowledge of account management, sponsorship and relationship sales. You have solid knowledge of administrative functions such as writing correspondence, scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.



You enjoy problem solving and are comfortable gathering, analyzing and interpreting and utilizing all kinds of information in decision making. You are known for demonstrating accountability and striving for operational excellence.



You are eager to make a difference and apply your expertise to this role. You have a customer service focus and can-do attitude, are outcomes driven, and approach situations with empathy and collaboration. Thinking creatively, staying organized, and building relationships is how you thrive. You love operating in a digital environment and are proficient with MS Office (we use Office 365 - MS Teams, SharePoint), and enjoy learning and using new technology.



Your background includes a post-secondary degree in business administration, social sciences or a related area plus a minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of related experience. A combination of education and lived experience will be considered. A valid driver's license and vehicle are required as some travel will be involved within Edmonton and the surrounding area.
