About the Position:
We are looking for a Reimbursement Specialist to join our Rx Connect Specialty Pharmacy team in Surrey, BC! We are looking for a candidate who is

proficient with Kroll Pharmacy Management
Software and experienced in
troubleshooting
adjudication issues with public and private payers.
Reporting to our Reimbursement Team Lead, the Reimbursement Specialist will be primarily responsible for assisting our patients navigate insurance challenges and available provincial/federal programs to make their medications more affordable. Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicate with patients, prescribers, healthcare professionals and other key player to support patients through their treatment journey
Verify and investigate insurance coverage and benefits for patients, including eligibility, co-payments, deductibles, and prior authorizations.
Gather and document information from patients/caregivers/prescribers in a concise, organized and professional manner
Complete, submit and follow-up on requisite paperwork in a timely manner
Liase with private and public insurance providers to determine coverage options
Act as a central liaison for stakeholders such as physicians, nurses, patients and clinics and provide required updates
Maintain confidentiality of patient healthcare information
Keep up-to-date with changes in insurance coverage and reimbursement policies, and communicate these changes to healthcare providers and patients.
Job Requirements:
Excellent customer services skills
Experience working with Patient Support Programs (Asset)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills- English & French (asset)
Reimbursement experience (asset)
Understanding of provincial and private drug coverage criteria
Familiarity with the Special Authorization process for both public and private insurance in assigned territory.
Strong computer and Technical skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, tablets, web-portals/internet use
Experience with Kroll Pharmacy Management System is an asset
Making decisions using sound judgment, and meeting deadlines.
Accurate data collection and data integrity
Ease with working in a paperless environment.
Ability to drive for results
Proven ability to work in a team environment
Strong sense of organization and attention to detail
Time management skills and the ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
