Job Summary:
Clubhouse is seeking a caring individual to support our diverse group of members in a variety of daily activities that promote mental health recovery and personal skill development. The ideal candidate is adaptable, empathetic, and passionate about helping individuals achieve their goals in a community-based setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Support members in daily activities, including pre/employment skills development, social engagement, and personal growth.
Plan, administer and assist with the facilitation of group activities, wellness programs, and educational workshops.
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to provide individualized support tailored to Member's individual needs.
Promote a positive and inclusive environment that encourages autonomy and empowerment.
Advocate for members in a variety of settings.
Monitor and report on the progress of members in their recovery journey.
Maintain professional boundaries while fostering meaningful relationships with members.
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and other organizational activities.
Qualifications:
Experience working in mental health, rehabilitation, or a community-based setting is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse individuals.
Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Knowledge of mental health challenges and recovery processes is an asset.
Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, while providing, care, preserving dignity, and maintaining confidentiality.
A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is an asset, but not required.
