Our Community Support Services (CSS) team provides essential services that enable our clients to thrive. Whether their disability is physical, the result of brain injury, or aging, our more than 2,000 team members assist clients in their homes and across communities, to live as independently as possible.




The opportunity





We are looking to fill one new opportunity for a

Full-Time Rehabilitation Worker

in our Edmonton, AB location.


Starting salary:

$20.55 per hour


Hours:

40 hours per week



Responsibilities





Assist consumers living with a disability to gain greater autonomy in areas such as activities of daily living, cognitive and problem-solving skills

To provide personal care when required To provide service under the guidelines of an Individual Rehabilitation Plan (IRP) Support with community orientation and integration Provide suicide and crisis intervention Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients Reporting responsibilities such as notes to file, incident reports, data collection, IRP progress reports Follow the guidelines outlined by the Behaviour Consultant, Program Supervisor and Rehabilitation Services Coordinator Follow MODC policies and procedures as required Participate in any required training as outlined in MODC policies


Qualifications and experience



Post-Secondary Education in Social Services or equivalent experience

Working knowledge of ABI and rehabilitation Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills Demonstrated team building skills Proven consistency in work performance, including reliability and flexibility Must be a strong team member Excellent time management skills and attention to detail CPR/First Aid certificate required Previous experience working with ABI consumers Experience with Microsoft Office Professionalism in dealing with other service providers Excellent time management skills and attention to detail Must have the ability to adapt and to be flexible with the changing needs of our program Must be committed to contributing to a positive working environment Must be willing to support with coverage of other shifts when needed
