Meridian Rehabilitation Consulting is looking for a

rehabilitation assistant

to join our team in

Kamloops.

Currently we are hiring for a part-time position, but there is the potential for full time work for the right candidate.

Job duties will include:



Teaching, and monitoring exercise programs in a clinic, gym, home, or pool. Implementing spinal cord, stroke, and brain injury rehabilitation exercises targeting improvements in cognitive, visual, and physical health. Implementing work specific conditioning programs. Performing functional, range of motion, and fitness assessments Teaching chronic pain education Charting and possibly writing reports

You will have the opportunity to work closely with various Occupational Therapists on a variety of different types of programs including:



Life skills programs for clients who have suffered a brain injury Post-stroke rehabilitation Orthopedic rehabilitation Return to work rehabilitation Activation programs to manage mental health difficulties Return to activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), work and leisure programs Chronic pain management programs

Requirements:



Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle (travel to locations in Greater Kamloops area is required)

Kinesiology Degree, Therapist Assistant Diploma or Rehabilitation Assistant Diploma preferred

; however considerations will be made to applicants who do not possess these certifications

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Good written and oral communication

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.50-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
