Overview:


We are seeking a

Rehabilitation Assistant

to join our team. In this role, you will provide hands-on support to our Neuro-Exercise Specialists and assist in the delivery of rehabilitation services to clients of all ages -- including children, youth, and adults -- living with neurological conditions. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Duties:



Assist hands-on with client sessions to maximize their effectiveness, including but not limited to: transferring clients, spotting clients, and walking clients on the treadmill Support children during therapy sessions by helping them engage in play-based therapeutic activities and movement-based tasks Demonstrate the ability to adapt session support based on age, developmental stage, and individual needs Build rapport and establish trust with clients of all ages, especially children and their families Learn and use unique methods of communication (e.g., tactile sign language, AAC devices) Collaborate and communicate effectively with the team to ensure safe, engaging, and successful client sessions Promote a positive, inclusive, and professional environment Ensure cleanliness and organization of the facility and training areas are maintained Use proper lifting techniques and follow safety protocols (must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs) Be open and prepared to assist with other projects as needed

Skills & Qualifications:



Comfortable working with children and adults with complex needs Professional demeanor with the ability to work with diverse age groups and backgrounds Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices is an asset Strong interpersonal and communication skills with clients, families, and team members Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities Demonstrates adaptability, initiative, and enthusiasm in a fast-paced setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
