Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Recovery Supports Care Manager, the Rehab Practitioner - Supported Employment Specialist works as a key member of a community-based multi-disciplinary team to assist individuals with addiction and/or mental health concerns to achieve their personally defined employment, volunteer or other productivity goals. This individualized process is accomplished through a strength based, cooperative approach designed to facilitate functional improvement and result in service recipients obtaining and maintaining satisfying roles within their communities as part of their personal recovery. In close collaboration with occupational therapists, the Supported Employment Specialists must meet the demands and needs of constantly changing conditions, situations and people and are required to work effectively in difficult or ambiguous situations. In addition to providing individual services, the Supported Employment Specialist will also participate in activities to develop and enhance partnerships and synergies with community partners. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. Description:
As a Rehab Practitioner, you will be an integrated member of an interdisciplinary team that facilitates the recovery process for individuals with addiction and/or mental health concerns. You will be responsible for bringing an active and creative approach to welcoming, engagement, screening and transition support that maintains the uniqueness of each individual within a wellness-oriented, collaborative service delivery model. You will work as a key member of a multidisciplinary team to assist individuals with addiction and/or mental health concerns. This individualized process is accomplished through a strengths based, cooperative approach designed to facilitate functional improvement and result in service recipients obtaining and maintaining satisfying roles within their communities as part of their personal recovery. In close collaboration with occupational therapists, mental health therapists and other team members, you must meet the demands and needs of constantly changing conditions, situations and people and are required to work effectively in difficult or ambiguous situations. Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Education, Physiotherapy, or Speech-Language Pathology. Minimum of two years' experience in addiction and/or mental health.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional Preparation and experience as Employment Services Practitioner. Equivalencies considered. CPR. Community experience preferred.
